At last a professional surgery!
I phoned for an appointment on the Wednesday and, following a call by the doctor, was given one for the following Friday morning,. On arrival at the surgery on the Friday morning, I was well received by the receptionist and noted the calm atmosphere in the waiting room. I had a consultation with Dr Cook who was superb - a good listener, clear response, grounded. At a time that the NHS is under so much pressure, I could not have asked for better. Well done to all concerned!
I found the nurse who gave me my flu injection very rude and abrupt. She continually questioned why i was having it done even thou it was advised by my consultant and another nurse to have it. I felt like i was being interrogated. Her manner was very aggressive.I was very tearful when i came out of her room as i felt i had done something wrong and she was not at all caring. She may of been having a bad morning (it was early)but i felt she didn't need to take it out on me and if she had read my notes first she would have known why i was having it.
I have found all the other nurses lovely as they have always been over the last 17 years, it just this one nurse who seems to be very unpleasant.
okay then, there is total disregard for disabled people
My elderly mother has been treated brilliantly by the new staff. She received a telephone call from a friendly and extremely helpful female GP. Offers of help, support and medication were very forthcoming.
This is a is such an improvement - and for me as a carer a weight off of my mind when my mother needs GP attention.
Thank you so much....
